Leading construction firm, Arab Contractors has completed the establishment of the first Hydraulically Assisted Bridges for heavy transportation and containers in Egypt’s Port Said, said its chairman Mohsen Salah Saturday.
Salah added that the total cost of the bridge is around 60 million Egyptian pounds (US$7.6 million), tailored to solve the traffic congestion caused by the heavy transportations and containers coming and to and from the Port Said Customs Authority.
Arab Contractors has implemented the bridge project under the supervision of Suez Canal Authority and Sinai Reconstruction Agency in addition to technical assistance provided by professors of engineering colleges from various universities in Egypt.
It is a 320-metre length and 15-metre width bridge, said board member Roshdy Taher.
