Egypt’s leading construction firm, Arab Contractors is seeking to implement new projects in three African countries in the coming period, as part of a plan to expand its businesses into the continent.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad Thursday, Ibrahim Mabrouk – Head of the East and West Africa Sector at Arab Contractors – said his company is currently studying a bunch of tenders for infrastructure projects in Angola, Kenya, and Senegal. The Egyptian company is studying the financiers in charge of those projects.
Funding is a key factor for Arab Contractors so as to expand into the African markets, he added.
Arab Contractors is also conducting market studies through sending a number of delegations to the targeted markets.
Mabrouk added that his company is competing for a number of mega projects in Côte d’Ivoire in addition to a new road project in Cameroon.
