The Minister of Industry And Trade inaugurates Mars Egypt factory expansion today with investments worth 750 million Egyptian pounds.
The company seeks double its investment in the country to 2 billion Egyptian pounds by the end of 2018, said president of Mars Wrigley Confectionery, Martin Radvan.
He added Mars expansions “reflects confidence in the Egyptian economy and our commitment is firm towards the Egyptian market.”
Mars regional president for AMEA region, Ehab Abu Oaf said that the latest expansion will result in doubling Mars’ exports from Egypt to $100 million by the end of 2018, where 80-90 percent of the production will be directed to export.
He added that the new expansions will provide 190 direct job opportunities, in addition to hundreds of indirect jobs.
Mars Egypt exports to more than 20 countries, reaching Australia, Africa, MENA and Europe.
