Asian Stock Market Briefing 21/02/2023

The Shanghai index (SSEC) witnessed a noticeable increase of 0.49 percent on Tuesday, reaching a value of 3,306.52. Its opening value at morning trade was 3,291.63, it went from a high value of 3,308.79 and a low value of 3,282.44.

The Japanese index Nikkei 225, Tokyo’s main index, witnessed a decline of – 0.21 percent, to close at 27,473.10. The opening value was 27,486.09, the index reached a high value of 27,538.29. However, it declined to reach a low value of 27,359.12. There was a slight incline by the end of the day from its lowest value to finally reach the closing value of 27,473.10.

Hong Kong’s index HSI witnessed the most noticeable decline today of – 1.71 percent. Closing at 20,529.49, its opening value today was 20,859.50. The index went between a high value of 20,941.30 and a low value of 20,503.05.
