Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed on Wednesday following losses on Wall Street. Investors were cautious due to weaker-than-expected economic data and new tariff comments from US President Donald Trump.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose by 0.6 per cent to 40,794.86, and the Topix increased by 1.02 per cent to close at 2,966.57.
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 finished 0.84 per cent higher at 8,843.7.
The CSI 300 in mainland China ended the day 0.24 per cent higher at 4,113.49. South Korea’s Kospi remained unchanged at 3,198.14.
