These are about 83 Australian firms established in Egypt as of the end of July 2018, with investments of $174.52 million, Australia’s Ambassador to Cairo Glenn Miles stated.
Miles made these remarks during his participation in the Egyptian-Australian Business Forum organised by the Federation of the Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, in the presence of 12 Australian firms operating in sectors of tourism, travel, gold mining, training, logistics, clothing, and medicine.
“The industrial sector captures 78.7 percent of the Australian investments in Egypt, followed by services sector of 7.5 percent,” he said.
Mining is one of the most important industrial sectors, in which Australian firms plan to invest, he added.
