Australia’s jobless rate rises in June ’25

Australia’s jobless rate rose to 4.2 per cent in June 2025, according to data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on Thursday.

The number of unemployed people increased by 8,400 to reach 639,500 during the month. The youth unemployment rate also climbed, reaching 9.6 per cent.
