Balqees Fathi named Valentino’s Middle East Di.Va.
Balqees Fathi, the stunning Emirati musician announced last week that she has been named Maison Valentino Di.Va. for the Middle East.
Di.Va is a brand campaign launched by Pierpaolo Piccioli, the creative director of the Italian luxury brand. The title is chosen to impersonate different values, akin to a brand ambassador..
Figures named DiVas are perceived to be “a complex character of codes, upheld by inner values,” the brand stated.
“That describes a promotion of authenticity, progressive ideals, and diversity, connecting figures across cultures. They are strong, empowered, and empowering, remarkable, and multifaceted characters,” Piccioli told Vogue Arabia about the concept he sees behind the acronym.
Publishing the news on Instagram, Balqees expressed her delight about being chosen as the new Di.Va. “To me, it means being part of a community that shares my same values,” she said.
Zendaya along with Lewis Hamilton were previously named Valentino DiVas, being the brand’s face for the Pink PP Fall Winter 22-23 collection.
