Bank of England yet to decide on digital pound launch

The Bank of England (BOE) announced on Tuesday that no decision has been made regarding the introduction of a digital pound. The central bank stated it would evaluate the potential benefits and risks of a digital currency after completing its design phase in the next few years.

The bank emphasised that the decision-making process remains in the exploratory stage, with public consultations and further analysis required before any commitment is made.
