Betting on their portfolio, Banque Du Caire intends to boost micro lending portfolio to one billion Egyptian pounds by end of 2015, said general manager of retail banking Walid Mattar.
The bank’s micro lending portfolio currently stands at 800 million Egyptian pounds.
On the sidelines of Cairo ICT 2014 Conference, Mattar revealed to Amwal Al Ghad that his bank recently signed a contract worth 300 million pounds with the Social Fund for Development (SFD). The contract will go for financing upcoming micro-sized projects.
