Banque Du Caire, one of Egypt’s largest and oldest public lenders, will list its shares through an initial public offering (IPO) by the middle of 2018 said Central Bank governor Tarek Amer on Thursday.
He made these remarks during the 23rd annual Arab Banking Conference 2017 that has begun on Thursday in Beirut entitled” A Twinning Partnership: Reconstruction and Development”. It is also organised by the Union Of Arab Banks.
He added that the economic reform measures has began to come to fruitarian, pointing out that foreign currency inflow increased to reach more than $80 billion.
Banque du Caire, established in 1952, has a capitalisation of EGP 1.6 billion. The bank has around 240 branches and units around the country.
