Banque Misr Liban has celebrated the launch of two new branches in Lebanon in the presence of Ahmed El-Semawy, the acting Egyptian ambassador to Lebanon; Mohamed Barakat, the chairman of Banque Misr Liban; and Hadi Naffi, the bank’s board member and executive general manager.
With the latest branches, the total number of the bank’s branches is 18 which are strategically located in the major cities and regions of Lebanon and supported by a network of ATM machines.
Such move came as part of the bank’s plan to boost its presence in the Lebanese market and provide the latest banking services and products designed to meet the customers’ needs. Banque Misr Liban provides a number of both retail and corporate banking services and products compliant with the Lebanese market.
The bank has applied a plan to develop and restructure its branches with the aim of improving products and services offered to customers and regaining its position as one of the leading banks.
Banque Misr has increased the bank’s capital, positively reflecting on Banque Misr Liban’s performance and financial statements. 2010 was the first year for Banque Misr Liban to achieve profits since several years, after meeting the provisions deficit.
