Banque Misr says pretax profit grows to EGP 40.8 billion in 2022

Egypt’s second largest public bank, Banque Misr said on Tuesday its profit before income tax had surged to 40.8 billion Egyptian pounds ($1.3 billion) for the year ended on December 31, 2022.

Net profit stood at 25 billion pounds in 2022.

Total financial position grew 37.5 percent year-on-year to around 2.2 trillion pounds at the end of December 2022 from 1.6 trillion pounds at the end of December 2021.
