Barack Obama Offers Felicitations on Occasion of Ramadan

US president Barack Obama congratulated Muslims on starting Ramadan; paying tribute to those who fight for democracy in the Islamic world.

He added that this year Ramadan is different for the Middle East and North Africa nations, who stepped bravely toward democracy and self-determination.

Without directly regarding the Arab Spring in Egypt, Libya and Syria, Obama said the US will be in solidarity with who seek self-determination, and want getting rid of fear and violence.
