Barbie release delay in Egypt, UAE

The release of Barbie in Egypt’s VOX Cinemas has been delayed to 31 August, while, it was originally scheduled to premiere on 19 July, two days ahead of the global release date.

The delay has been met with disappointment from fans, who were planning to participate in the global Barbenheimer trend by seeing Barbie and Christopher Nolan’s biographical thriller Oppenheimer back-to-back.

The Greta Gerwig-directed blockbuster is set for release at some cinemas in the United Emirates on 31 August, according to local media reports. Some Emirati cinema listings simply said that the film was “coming soon”.
