The Upper Egypt Development Authority’s head Sherif Saleh and Luxor Governor Abdel Mottaleb Emara have signed contracts to manage and operate artisan industrial complexes, to create sustainable job opportunities for residents of Luxor, southern Egypt.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of initiating new development projects in the governorate. Plans include setting up a tomato paste production complex to leverage Luxor’s advantage in tomato cultivation.
Additionally, an artisan zone will be created, further contributing to the provision of sustainable employment opportunities for local citizens, according to a statement published by the Cabinet.
