Bitcoin hits $97, records 7% weekly growth

Bitcoin rose by 3.02 per cent on Thursday at 8:31 am ET (1:31 pm GMT), reaching $97,230.30 and extending its seven-day gains to nearly 7 per cent.

The leading cryptocurrency by market cap has surged from $68,000 on November 5, following Donald Trump’s re-election, driven by optimism over his support for digital assets.
