A bomb injured a police officer near the court complex in Alexandria on Saturday night, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
The improvised explosive device was left by anonymous assailants in front of the court complex in Mansheya Square.
A police officer from the court’s security team was injured in the explosion which smashed its façade. He was transferred to hospital for treatment.
In a separate incident on Saturday morning, a bomb exploded in Alexandria near a bank.
Recently small bombings reportedly by anti-government Islamists militants have been targeting local and foreign business interests, including mobile phone service providers, fast food chains and foreign banks
