BREAKING: 27 children killed in French airstrike on Iraq’s Mosul school

French airstrikes on a school in Iraq’s Mosul Wednesday killed 27 children and injured 9 others in another deadly attack on the Islamic State held Iraqi northern city.

A local source told DPA that the planes launched air strikes on IS sites and gatherings in eastern Mosul and “hit the Fatima al-Zahra primary school in al-Zuhour neighbourhood, killing 26 students and injuring others.”

The source in Mosul said the raid may have been targeting an IS base in the area.
