Cockpit voice recorder of crashed EgyptAir flight found and pulled out of the Mediterranean Sea, Egyptian investigators say.
Investigators on Thursday discovered one of the black boxes from an EgyptAir plane that came down last month, killing all 66 people on board.
Egyptian investigators said earlier on Thursday that “several main locations of the wreckage” had been discovered following nearly a month of search operations in the Mediterranean Sea close to Greece.
The Airbus A320 plane, which set off from Paris for Cairo, disappeared from Egyptian and Greek radar screens and came down on 19 May, apparently without sending a distress call. Investigators hope the discovery of the black box, which contains recordings from inside the cockpit, will shed light on why the plane came down.
