BREAKING: Suicide bomber blows himself up at Karnak temple in Luxor

A suicide bomber has blown himself up at a tourist site in Luxor, Upper Egypt, killing at least two people, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.

The assault in the ancient temple of Karnak also left one policeman injured.

It was not immediately clear if the deaths were civilians or members of the security forces. The latter have been the target of a rising Islamist insurgency since the 2013 ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi.
