The 10th edition of its Builders of Egypt forum has kicked off on Sunday in Cairo, with a sharp focus on redefining sustainable and resilient coastal cities as the country looks to attract fresh investment into infrastructure, energy, and real estate.
The annual gathering — held under the patronage of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly — brings together senior government officials, ambassadors, and business leaders from Arab, African, and international markets. This year’s theme, Redefining Sustainable and Resilient Coastal Cities, aims to align Egypt’s urban development with climate goals while creating new investment opportunities.
Delegates include representatives from UN agencies, major contractors’ federations, and senior diplomats from Türkiye, India, Ireland, Cyprus, Côte d’Ivoire, Thailand, and Senegal. The forum provides a platform for Egypt to present its coastal city development maps, outline legislative reforms to support private sector participation, and position itself as a hub for green and smart urban projects.
This year’s edition is targeting new partnerships that will accelerate infrastructure development and support Egypt’s vision for sustainable coastal urbanisation.
Since 2014, Builders of Egypt has served as a key venue for dialogue between the public and private sectors, focusing on advancing national construction priorities and positioning Egypt as a regional leader in resilient urban planning.
