Bulgaria reports 0.1% inflation rate for August ’24
Bulgaria’s monthly inflation rate, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), was 0.1 per cent in August 2024, compared to the previous month. The annual inflation rate stood at 2.1 per cent, down from 2.4 per cent in July.
The highest monthly price increases were seen in food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.9 per cent), recreation and culture (0.5 per cent), and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (0.3 per cent). Conversely, clothing and footwear and transport experienced the largest price decreases by 3.3 per cent and 0.9 per respectively.
The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) also recorded a monthly inflation rate of 0.1 per cent and an annual rate of 2.4 per cent.
