Cabinet to assume oversight of Egypt’s sovereign fund

Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Rania Al-Mashat said on Thursday that a new law is being proposed to govern the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE). The fund will be under the Cabinet’s authority, whereby the Prime Minister will choose a minister to oversee it.

The law was discussed by the parliament’s economic committee on Wednesday, the minister told reporters during a press conference on Thursday.
