Cairo stocks 0.36% up on Sunday

Egypt’s stock market closed Sunday’s trade mildly higher as main index, EGX30 rose 0.36 percent, to 7463.72 points.

Other indices; EGX50 EWI index also grew 0.64 percent, at 1332.36 points; while EGX20 added 0.27 percent, to 7777.12 points.

Mid- and small-cap index EGX70 went up 0.09 percent, to 358.37 points. Price index, EGX100 also picked higher 0.17 percent, to 764.57 points.

Market Cap

Market capitalisation gained 271 million Egyptian pounds ($30.5 million), to record 399.716 billion pounds during the closing session of Sunday.

Turnovers

The bourse’s trading volume reached 79.018 million securities, with turnovers, closing at 257.495 million pounds, exchanged through 12,675 transactions.

Also during the closing session, 172 listed securities have been traded in, 65 declined, 50 advanced; while 54 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Arab investors were net buyers capturing 8.98 percent of the total market, with a net equity of 20.364 million pounds, excluding the deals.

On the contrary, local and non-Arab foreign investors were net sellers controlling 84.88 and 6.14 percent respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of 13.366 million pounds and 6.997 million pounds, respectively, excluding the deals.
