Cambodia exported 173,915 tons of natural rubber latex in the first seven months of 2024, a slight increase of 1.72 per cent compared to the same period last year, according to a report by the General Directorate of Rubber.
The country earned $269 million from these exports, marking a 12.4 per cent rise from the $239.3 million generated in the same timeframe in 2023.
The average price per ton of rubber latex during this period was $1,547, which is $147 higher than last year.
Cambodia primarily exports rubber to Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, and China. The country has planted rubber trees across 407,172 hectares, with 78.6 per cent of the trees ready for tapping.
