Cambodia’s trade exchanges with its fellow ASEAN member states expanded to $10.49 billion in the first eight months of 2024, an 11.8 per cent increase from the previous year.
Cambodia exported products worth $3.43 billion to other ASEAN countries during January-August 2024, a 10 per cent rise from the previous year. Meanwhile, imports from fellow ASEAN countries rose 12.5 per cent to 7.06 billion dollars.
The report from the General Department of Customs and Excise noted that trade with ASEAN countries accounted for 28.4 per cent of Cambodia’s total trade volume during the first eight months of this year.
Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia emerged as Cambodia’s top five trading partners within ASEAN.
