Canadian Foodgrains Bank calls for urgent aid in Gaza
The Canadian Foodgrains Bank is calling for humanitarian emergency help in Gaza Strip still hobbled by Israeli restrictions, according to executive director Andy Harrington said on Monday.
The Foodgrains Bank is working with partner organisations and local groups to bring humanitarian assistance to the area. Harrington added “an urgent humanitarian response is desperately needed.”
It is worth mentioning that latest estimates in Gaza indicate that 5,000 people have been killed and over 15,000 are injured. More than one million people have been forced to leave their homes to escape the fighting.
