Carrefour Egypt announced that a staff member at one of its Giza branches has tested positive for coronavirus.
The hypermarket chain added that the patient has been self-isolated since 9 April when there is was a suspicion that he contracted coronavirus, he then tested positive.
The workers who had come in direct contact with him have been self-isolated as well, however the patient has not came in contact with the customers.
The branch, located at Dandy Mall in the Giza governorate, has since been “fully sanitised and disinfected twice.”
The hypermarket urged its customers to maintain social distancing while shopping in its branches.
