CBE: 47.4 million Egyptians financially included as of March ’24

There have been 47.4 million Egyptians financially included as of March 2024, according to newly published data from the Central Bank of Egypt’s (CBE) Financial Stability Report on Wednesday.

The latest data signals the CBE’s commitment to promoting financial inclusion and expanding access to financial services. The CBE is working with relevant government agencies to achieve sustainable financing and economic stability.

In addition, the Egyptian central bank is prioritising the development of a robust financial infrastructure for digital payment systems and services. This includes ensuring the availability, security, and adherence to global standards of these systems, which are crucial for maintaining financial stability.
