CBE announces new year holiday for Egyptian banks on Jan. 1

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that all banks in the country will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, to mark the end of the financial year. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025, the CBE statement showed on Sunday.
