CBE Resumes Deposit Operations Auctions Wednesday

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has resumed the tenders of deposit operations of Wednesday due to an official Islamic new Year holiday of today.

CBE has made the last tender of deposit operations on the last Tuesday, as the bank has accepted 8-day maturities around EGP30billion from the banks operating in the banking sector and it will finalize tomorrow Wednesday with 9.25% interest rate.

The banks has offered EGP5909billion to CBE during the last tender of deposit operation, CBE has accepted about 52%.

The total auctions which offered by CBE reached about 13 tenders, CBE has obtained around EGP200billion.
