The total volume of investments in Egypt’s government debt instruments Treasury Bills financial institutions has hit a new record around jumping to its highest level to EGP 418.5 billion by the end of last April moved up by EGP 2.4 billion, compared to EGP 406.1 billion by the end of last March.
CBE’s statements have revealed that financial institutions investments increased in T-bills EGP 24.5 billion (91- day) in the last April compared to EGP 14 billion in the last March.
Whereas the T-bills EGP 87.900 billion (182-day) in last April compared to EGP 81 billion in the last March.
T-bills investments have reached EGP 59.073 billion (266-day) in last April compared to EGP 56.073 billion in last March.
Meanwhile, the volume of public-sector banks investments have captured the largest rates of 35.6% T-Bills investments to record EGP 149 billion in last April, and the private-sector banks investment seized investments worth EGP 120.9 billion (28.4%) from the total investments.
