The Chemical Export Council (CEC) pledged it will provide around 20.000 job opportunities for Egyptians who return from turbulent Libya.
The Council said in a statement released on Thursday it would launch an initiative to encourage all the export councils in Egypt to employ the Egyptians who returned from Libya. The initiative is to be a kind of the Egyptian private sector’s social responsibility towards the country, the statement added.
While there are no official numbers for Egyptians in Libya, estimations by Libyan officials state that approximately 1.3 million work and reside there.
Egyptian government is working on procedures to ensure and facilitate the repatriation of Egyptians wishing to return home from turbulent Libya.
