On Monday, the Supreme Administrative Court, at the State Council, decided to adjourn considering the challenge brought by former MP Mohamed Al Omda to cancel the administrative judicial verdict of annulling the first constituent assembly to draft constitution, till November 5th.
Commissioners’ Office at the Supreme Administrative Court has issued a legal report, in which the court recommended the final verdict of annulling the formation of the first constituent assembly. It recommended not to accept bringing challenge, because the appellant wasn’t one of disputes. In case of accepting the appellant, the court is recommended to refuse his challenge.
The MP, in his challenge, affirmed that the verdict of the Administrative Judiciary court breaches the law and constitution, and represents entrenching on the terms of reference for the Upper and Lower Houses. This verdict is fraud against the article 60 of the constitutional declaration which provided for selecting the members of the constituent assembly form the Upper and Lower Houses.
