China, Norway strengthen green energy cooperation

China has expressed its willingness to enhance “friendly” cooperation with Norway, particularly in areas such as green energy, President Xi Jinping said during a meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere in Beijing on Monday.

According to Chinese state broadcaster CCTV, Xi emphasised environmental protection, energy transition, maritime shipping, agriculture, fisheries, and electric vehicles as key areas for potential collaboration.

On the Ukraine crisis, Xi urged all parties to work towards creating “favourable” conditions for a political solution through dialogue, CCTV reported.
