China pledges top-tier business environment

China will actively align with high-standard international economic and trade rules and create a top-tier business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalised, Xinhua reported on Thursday, citing China’s top legislator.

In Zhao Leji’s keynote speech at the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2024, the chairman of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee, emphasised China’s commitment to development through openness.

He announced plans to further open up the country, reduce restrictions on foreign investment in the manufacturing sector, and enhance convenience for foreigners working, studying, and traveling in China.
