China’s David Medical plans to localise childcare equipment production in Egypt

China’s David Medical Device Co., Ltd., a global specialist in incubators and childcare devices, plans to expand its investments in Egypt by localising production, the Egyptian Cabinet said on Thursday.

Hisham Stait, chairman of the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply, and the Management of Medical Technology (UPA), received a delegation from Device Medical, which has been operating in Egypt for over 30 years. The company is known for its high-quality, certified medical devices.

During the meeting, the Chinese company said it considers Egypt a strategic manufacturing hub, citing the country’s market potential and government support for local producers.

Stait welcomed the plan, highlighting its role in strengthening Egypt’s domestic industry and providing advanced medical equipment for the childcare sector.
