China’s Hubei tells firms not to resume work before March 11 amid coronavirus worries
China’s Hubei province has asked firms not to resume work before March 11 due to the coronavirus outbreak, it said in a statement on its official Weibo account. However, those involved in epidemic prevention and control and public utilities are exempt from the work ban.
The suspension of work for many firms was supposed to end on February 21.
The province added that schools would not re-open until further notice.
