China’s Kingdom plans major linen manufacturing plant in Egypt
Kingdom Holdings, a Chinese leader in the linen industry, outlined plans to establish a linen manufacturing plant in Egypt to cater to the growing demand in European and Asian markets. This development was the focus of a meeting on Sunday between Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib and representatives from the company.
Minister El-Khatib reiterated the government’s strong support for Kingdom Holdings’ investment and expansion in Egypt, highlighting the company’s role in bolstering the country’s linen industry and positioning Egypt as a significant player in the global market.
Ren Weiming, Chairman of Kingdom Holdings, emphasised Egypt’s strategic advantages, including its competitive edge and rich history in linen production, which make it an ideal location for the company’s expansion plans.
To further strengthen the partnership, Weiming invited Minister El-Khatib to visit the company’s headquarters in China, aiming to deepen collaboration in the linen industry and explore further opportunities for growth.
