China’s logistics sector continued its strong performance in June, driven by rising transport demand, according to a report released Tuesday by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.
The logistics performance index for June settled at 51.6 per cent, down by 0.2 percentage points compared to May. However, the index remains comfortably above the 50 per cent mark, which separates expansion from contraction.
The total business volume index reached 51.6 per cent, indicating sustained growth in overall activity. The new orders index, a gauge of future demand, reached 51.9 per cent.
The business expectations index is at 55.3 per cent, showing strong optimism among logistics businesses for the future. This index has consistently stayed in the “high-climate zone” for four months in a row,
