The value added of China’s services sector rose by 5.5 per cent in the first half of 2025, gaining pace from the 5.3 per cent growth recorded in Q1, according to official data published by the National Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.
Information technology services led the gains with 11.1 per cent growth, followed by leasing and business services (9.6 per cent) and transport and postal services (6.4 per cent). In June, the Services Production Index rose 6.0 per cent.
