Civil aviation minister opens EgyptAir Maintenance upgraded hangar 7000

Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister Sherif Fathy inaugurated Tuesday the project of upgrading hangar 7000 at EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering Company.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Safwat Musallam -head of state’s airline EgyptAir-, Abou Taleb Tawfik -chairman of EgyptAir Maintenance-, representatives of parliament, in addition to a number of leaders at civil aviation ministry.

Minister Fathy pointed out to the importance of executing development plans to overcome challenges facing civil aviation sector and boost its competitiveness in global markets.

He also emphasised on the importance of designing more future plans to cope with international changes in all civil aviation sectors.

On other side, head Musallam noted that the plan of upgrading hangars of EgyptAir Maintenance company is being implemented according to a determined schedule in line with upgrading EgyptAir fleet.

After being upgraded, hangar 7000 is located on the space of 6,200 square meters including fire fighting system, compressed air station, warning system, ground lightening systems, and standby generators.

EgyptAir Maintenance owns four hangar to serve EgyptAir that have 130 international clients.
