While a number of Egyptian exporters has criticized the performance of the Commercial Representation and its foreign consuls pointing out that this is a sort of public money squandering, Anwar Al Sahragty, Head of the Egyptian Commercial Representation Body, stated that the body cares about the public interest and seeks to provide various services to exporters on an equal footing.
In exclusive statements to Amwal Al Ghad, Al Sahragty emphasized that the Egyptian Commercial Representation Body pays much attention to rationalization of public money, noting that 60% of international commercial representation offices include only one commercial attachee along with another administrative assistant.
Given the work pressure on some commercial representation offices abroad, in addition to the fact that each office has only one attachee, any deficit would be handled through a temporary transition of some commercial attachee officials working in small-work-volume countries during these times, he said.
He further added that the body declares all opportunities for export on its website, in addition to informing all exporters registered on the website on a basis of equality.
