Coronavirus deaths in Europe pass 100,000

The coronavirus death tally in Europe has reached a somber marker on Sunday surpassing 100,000 fatalities across the continent, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

Italy remained the highest European death toll due to the coronavirus pandemic, having more than 23,000 deaths as of Sunday, followed by Spain, France, and the United Kingdom, the Johns Hopkins data added.
