Costa Rica recognises Vietnam as market economy

Costa Rica has officially recognised Vietnam as a market economy, becoming the 73rd country to do so.

The announcement was made by Costa Rican Minister of Foreign Trade Manuel Tovar on Monday when he presented a diplomatic note to the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade.
