The total volume of deposits at banks operating in Egypt, aside from the central bank, rose to 2.224 trillion Egyptian pounds ($117.4 billion) at the end of October.
Earlier in September, deposits stood at 2.202 trillion pounds.
Government deposits also grew to around 385.99 billion pounds, including 283.05 billion pounds in local currency and 102.9 billion pounds in foreign currencies, a central bank monthly bulletin showed on Wednesday.
Non-government deposits reached 1.838 trillion pounds approximately, of which 1.507 trillion pounds in local currency and 330.8 billion pounds in foreign currencies, the bulletin added.
