Dina Abdel Fattah: Global women forums have failed Palestinian women facing Israeli atrocities
Dina Abdel Fattah, vice chairperson of United Media Services (UMS), called on Monday the international women forums not to remain silent anymore, stressing that they “have failed Palestinian women” who are facing Israeli horrendous war crimes in Gaza.
In a press conference in Rafah crossing border, Abdel Fattah, who is also Editor-in-Chief of Amwal Al Ghad Magazine, has saluted Palestinian women for her evident patience and steadfastness amid unprecedented wave of Israeli aggression and intransigence.
These forums have failed Palestinian women in their struggle by remaining silent, they are complicit in these atrocities in Gaza, where civilians have nowhere to go to escape the Israeli bombing.
A high-level delegation from the UMS officials have visited earlier Monday Rafah border crossing into Gaza, demanding an immediate ceasefire, unhindered medical and humanitarian aid to the Gaza strip, and rejecting and condemning any attempt to forcibly evict Palestinians. The delegation visited injured Palestinians, who were receiving care in Egyptian field hospitals.
Abdel Fattah has urged these institutions to play a role in the face of the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, saying women, children, and elderly people are the most vulnerable to being hit the hardest by this aggression.
