Did Dior replace supermodel Bella Hadid with Israel’s May Tager?
Dior has reportedly replaced Palestinian supermodel Bella Hadid by Israel’s May Tager, Turkish news agency Yeni Şafak English reported on Wednesday.
Hadid has been a long time brand ambassador for Dior since 2016, when she became the first Palestinian Dior brand ambassador.
The supermodel has always expressed her solidarity with Palestine and the Palestinian people on multiple occasions.
Hadid stayed silent at the beginning of the attacks as a result of the death threats she has been getting.
However, on october 26th, the supermodel spoke up against the horrendous attacks on her instagram account.
“The people and children of Palestine, especially in Gaza, cannot afford our silence. We are not brave – they are.” she said.
She also described what her family had to go through during the Nakba in 1948.
Both Hadid and Dior are yet to make comments on the swap.
However, various outlets and websites like The Express Tribune said that the reports are false.
According to their website, the claims were debunked by Diet Prada and Gigi Hadid, Bella’s sister, reposted their statement.
The swap claims were reported by Turkish and Israeli press.
