Dollar hovers near 52.6 mark against Egyptian pound – 25 March, 2026

The US dollar held broadly steady against the Egyptian pound in midday trading on Wednesday, averaging 52.56 pounds for buying and 52.66 pounds for selling across major banks as of 12:50 p.m. Cairo time (10:50 GMT).

Data from leading lenders showed the greenback moving within a narrow range of 52.55 to 52.57 pounds for buying and 52.65 to 52.67 pounds for selling, pointing to relatively stable demand for foreign currency in the local market.
